The Department of Digital Technologies in the Industry (DTI) provides a wide range of services for solving applied problems in the UPSTREAM, DOWNSTREAM, and MIDSTREAM sectors of the Oil & Gas industry based on modern data analysis approaches. The ideology of the department is built on the formation of hybrid approaches to solving customer problems by combining modern digital technologies with physical models. Statistical learning approach as applied to industrial data is not a self-sufficient tool, it is essential to take account for physical issues of the process as well as the technological specifications of the studied processes. The department covers a broad range of problems, from automation of geological research of wells to optimizing the operation of oil refining installation, with the ultimate goal of achieving specific indicators agreed with the customer: Oil Recovery Factor, additional production, NPV, VOI, product quality, etc. A feature of proposed solutions is the possibility to improve the above indicators without the implementation of investment measures. The projects involves high-level specialists with strong background in physics and mathematics gained in the leading universities and professioonal experience in Russian and Western companies.
